Inveraray Castle (Above) is the Home of the Duke & Duchess of Argyll since early 15th Century
There is a huge amount to see here and wonderful grounds to explore, make sure you climb up to the Folly to see the wonderful view from the top. Open April to October. Inveraray has a Maritime Museum at the Harbour and many good eating places. Many of the buildings date from the 1700's, the Town Jail is now a museum and well worth a visit. New Inverary Castle was built 1745 - 1760 and is open to the public April to October. The Bell Tower in the Town has the second heaviest bells in the World after Wells Cathedral, they weigh nearly 8 tons ! Lot's to see here, and bring your camera ! See Links page
