The ferry operates a winter service until mid-May and the last car ferry is at 6pm , though on Fridays and Saturdays there is a passenger ferry as late as 11.30pm . The ferry runs at half-hourly intervals through the day.
From mid-May until the end of August the car ferry operates until late in the evening as well as during the day. Luing is reached by vehicle ferry "Belnahua" from North Cuan on the Isle of Seil. The crossing is quick, and the ferry runs every half hour during the day. Timetables and prices for the Cuan Ferry are available here

Bus
There is a regular bus service from Oban to the ferry at North Cuan.
Post Bus
Transport on the island is available on the post bus which runs throughout the day. It is worth checking with the postman or post office on Luing before planning a circular journey, as some trips are by request only.
Train
Oban is connected by trains to Glasgow. Timetables are available from ScotRail.
The town of Oban is 18 miles away, but the drive is very pleasant. It is a ferry port for all the islands of the Inner Hebrides , Iona , Mull , Colonsay, Coll and Tiree, should you wish to visit them. Oban has some very interesting shops and a selection of good restaurants. If you are interested in gardens there a many quite exquisite ones to visit in the area.
